Oka Ski Marathon

Rules

Participation

The Oka Ski marathon is open to all skiers, men or women:

  • For the 42km : up to 18 years old
  • For the 21km : up to 16 years old
  • For the 10km : up to 12 years old
  • For the 5km : up to 12 years old
  • For the 2km : under 12 years old

Parent or representative authorization is obligatory if participant is under 18 years of age.

BIB

You MUST wear your bib in the front. Skiers who fail to wear the bib or wear the wrong bib will be automatically disqualified due to the impossibility of control on the tracks.

The colour of your bib corresponds to the colour on the trail-marking for your race course. You must keep your bib in order to get your participant’s lunch.

 

Cancellation of the race

We will refund 80% of the registration fee (fee valid before March 11th, 2011) of the 21 and 42 km upon written request only.

In case of illness or accident, refund will be made only upon presentation of a dated proof received no later than Friday, March 10th, 2011.

If necessary, the decision to cancel the race will be taken and published on line on  March 11th, 2011 at noon.

Reserve

The organisation can change the profile and some rules depending of the circumstances.
 

FAIR USE

By signing the waiver, all racers consent to the fact that images (pictures and/or videos) of him may be taken and used for promotion, advertising and/or publishing purposes.
 

Classes

The different classes are as follow:

  • 42km : 18-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70 & +
  • 21km : 16-17 | 18-19 | 20-39 | 40 & +
  • 10km : 12-15 | 16-17 | 18-19 | 20 & +
  • 5km : 12-13 | 14-15 | 16-17 | 18 & +
  • 2km : 4-6 | 7-8 | 9-10 | 11-12
 

Prizes

  • A medal and a surprise from the area will be given to each first three racers from each category (men or women) as described above per distance.
  • A prize will be given to each first five racers for each distance (skratch)
  • Sprint:
    - $100 will be given to the first racer, man and woman at the 10 and 30th km of the 42km.
    - $100 will be given to the first racer, man and woman at the 10th km of the 21km.
  • Several prizes upon bib presentation.
